About The Role

RAC are on the lookout for a Business Analyst with a minimum 2 years’ experience who will be accountable for providing the programme or project with business and technical expertise, to shape the delivery, provide appropriate solution options and estimates to deliver business outcomes.

We are entering a new phase in our journey and will be expanding our driving proposition as well as digitally transforming our member experiences. As part of this exciting transformation, we are launching a brand-new Digital Product function within our business to help us create a best-in-class member experience, supported with increased investment and a structured programme of activities to accelerate our digital strategy.

Key role responsibilities

  • Define, analyse and document requirements to show what the system will do but not how it will be done – representing a model of the system to serve as an intermediate step between the business need and the technical solution design.
  •  Study requirements feasibility to determine if the requirement is viable technically, operationally and economically (cost/benefit analysis)
  • Assess requirements feasibility by analysing requirement risks and constraints, modifying requirements to mitigate identified risks
  • Prioritise requirements to reflect the fact that not all requirements are of equal value to the business, but find ways to ensure that multiple parties can meet their own goals and interests (win-win situations) - promoting collaboration and discouraging an ‘us’ versus ‘them’ approach
  • Take responsibility for resolving project conflicts or disagreements
  • Validate and verify requirements throughout a project to ensure that the system/solution satisfied the requirement
  • Undertake feasibility studies and impact analyses in order to support strategic planning and validate business needs, provide possible solution options for consideration and enable business and project decisions to be reached
  • Define and document business solution designs that incorporate the ‘to be’ business processes to support business readiness and delivery including testing and training
  • Ensure that new services are successfully introduced into production with the right support
