About The Role

RAC have an exciting new opportunity for a Digital Trading and Planning Manager who will be responsible for leading the planning, delivery management and evaluation of all performance marketing campaigns. Ideal for a graduate with 2-5 years of work experience in a commercial environment looking to step up and gain more exposure to senior stakeholder management and make a real contribution to driving a large established business forward.

Based in our Bradley Stoke office and working hybrid hours the role will take ownership of trading a large media budget and responsible for orchestrating Digital Marketing teams to drive online performance. You will be required to work closely with the Senior Trading and Planning Manager to deliver the digital marketing strategy and regularly surface insights and recommendations.  

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for creation of budgets, regular performance outlooks and business reforecasts.
  • Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and annual forecasting of core KPIs basis the latest performance and forward-looking plans
  • Review daily performance KPIs by channel, bring to life the story behind the numbers & working with channel owners to drive improvements and efficiencies
  • Trade multi-million-pound media budget investment to deliver commercial objectives for the business.
  • Working closely with Biddable and Digital Marketing teams to showcase the performance being driven for their areas as well as helping them find ways to unlock value.
  • Support the commercial and finance team in building business cases using data-driven insights from historical performance
  • Provide regular updates on the impact of changes in the proposition, pricing, journey etc. to inform decision-making
  • Perform “deep dives” for any areas of concern, proactively identifying solutions.
  • Work with analyst to set up and improve reporting dashboards to track performance and surface key insights
  • Keep abreast of short- and long-term trends across the macro- environment, user behaviour, competitor landscape etc. and demonstrate how they influence performance & strategy
  • Lead weekly trade sessions with channel owners to evaluate performance and capture trading actions to move the business forward
  • Develop excellent stakeholder relationships with key stakeholder teams: Consumer Roadside division, Marketing Communications, Performance Marketing, PR, Propositions, Insight, Digital, Finance.
  • Represent performance marketing team in daily planning meetings with Brand & Comms, promotional & Digital CRO lead

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and presentational skills and enjoy working in an environment that is constantly changing.  You will be proficient with analytics and data management and the ability to work with complex data sets in excel; perform trend analysis and be confident in drawing conclusions, insights and making recommendations.

A high level understanding of digital media, in particular SEO, Paid Search, Social Media, Email & Affiliate and some experience of working in a commercial ownership role or a marketing team is required.

Qualifications/FSA:

  • Degree educated in a marketing or business discipline or relevant experience
