RAC’s Finance team has an amazing new opportunity for a Finance Analyst who will perform all aspects of management accounting and financial control for our OEM, Branded Contact Centres and RAC Commercial business areas based at our Bescot office. At RAC we have a permanent hybrid working model in place with colleagues in the office 2 days per week.
The role will be working with the Finance Manager to drive financial performance through the provision of full and accurate financial information, support, guidance, insight and challenge. Excellent analytical and Excel experience is essential.
Role purpose
As Finance Analyst you will support the Finance Manager to inform business leaders and the Business Partners with their decision-making through commercial understanding of the business area, with emphasis on:
- Information accuracy
- Effective reporting controls and efficient reporting processes
- Working with multiple internal and external partners
- Evolving reporting controls and the MI suite as the division grows to maintain effective outputs
You will keep a key focus on supporting delivery of profit targets, drive the provision of full and accurate financial information and challenge of internal processes to ensure consistent information delivered as accurately and efficiently as possible and optimise effectiveness.
You can expect on a day-to-day basis to:
- Deliver effective operation of financial controls
- Support the financial controller in reporting/forecasting of financial performance
- Effective and efficient accounting, producing timely and accurate numbers
- Provide business area with effective financial insight, analysis, and challenge
- Support the business area in supporting the preparation of annual budgets and forecasting
- Build and manage effective relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Understand the Group Strategy and 5YP, and the specific short- and medium-term targets
Qualifications
We are looking to hire someone who has a minimum of 12 months experience of working in a similar environment and who is currently studying towards CIMA / ACCA or equivalent, you will show evidence of;
- Management Accounting experience
- Financial Modelling Skills
- Good Analytical skills
- Understanding of relevant commercial disciplines
- Good relationship management and influencing skills
- Ability to assimilate information
- Agresso knowledge desirable
