About The Role

RAC have a fantastic opportunity for 2 Senior Proposition Managers, a commercial/marketing role in our fast-moving consumer propositions team, with ownership for identifying opportunities and delivering change in the SMR (Service, Maintenance and Repair) and EV (Electric Vehicle) space.

We have a real appetite to develop new growth areas within the Consumer Roadside business. The switch of consumers to EVs, and the opportunity to expand our presence in the SMR market both present significant opportunities for the RAC. We are looking for candidates who can accurately develop and execute these plans within Consumer, developing new revenue streams and differentiated experiences for our customers. You can expect to create and maintain business cases whilst working with internal stakeholders at all levels across the business and identify exciting new products and propositions into the consumer market.

RAC are moving to a permanent hybrid working model from January 2022, offering 2 days working from the office and 3 days from home.

Key Accountabilities

  • Leads Proposition workstream end to end, leading the commercial strategy and customer proposition definition
  • Is the authority on all competitor activity and wider trends, analysing and providing recommendations of market trends and forecasts
  • Uses insight to inform customer centric proposition development. Works with research agency & insight team to ensure research plan meets insight objectives
  • Development of new propositions and product proof points, including service experiences, new product development and core portfolio evolution
  • Create commercial business cases for both immediate and future development, identifying investment needs and return on investment.
    Defines the go to market strategy including website, customer communications, call centre activity & garages
  • Works closely with matrix team to deliver, including Marketing. Finance, Business Roadside, Technology and Operational colleagues to define and deliver plans
  • Leads proposition launch into market and manages in-life performance to meet business case and customer satisfaction

Strong commercial/marketing acumen are critical for this role and along with the ability to think strategically and identify opportunities.  You’ll also be happy to roll up your sleeves and deliver against immediate requirements, working across a wide matrix team to deliver change. Experience of or an understanding of a regulatory environment and the ability to ensure this is factored in with all aspects of the role is also advantageous. Organised, proactive and tenacious you’ll also able to work effectively across a range of short and long-term initiatives.
