About The Role

RAC are on the hunt for an experience MI Analyst to join our centre HR function, in Walsall, on a full time, permanent basis!

Reporting directly into HoF Reward & HR Services, you will be responsible for the delivery and continual development of the suite for HR performance reports for the senior leadership team that will inform and influence business performance and decisions, your knowledge and experience with MI Data will form a pivotal role. Expect to carry out MI reporting and analysis across the HR function whilst also providing project support to the wider team.

While this role is usually based in our HQ, Walsall, our teams are currently working from home. While there may be a requirement to be in the office 2 days per week per week from 2022, one thing the pandemic has taught us is the value of embracing hybrid working and we are able to offer some element of flexible working in the longer term.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensures a full suite of HR MI reporting is provided
  • Maintains a suite of MI including external benchmarking data
  • Assists with benchmarking projects for engagement and reward
  • Maintains up to date data on external HR trends and provides reports as required
  • Carries out data analysis and provides expert guidance on data gathering and manipulation
  • Designs, implements and manages an effective suite of reports which reflect people-based business measures
  • Designs, implements and manages an effective suite of reports to monitor track and improve performance of the HR team and people agenda
  • Ensures that the HR reporting suite is continually reviewed to ensure reports are fit for purpose and add value to the business
  • Provide insight through commentary to enable stakeholders to understand the reasons and rationale for trends / changes in performance
  • Challenge data providers to understand reason/ rationale for changes and address data issues
  • To challenge and complete a quality assurance check on HR measure and MI proposals to ensure that they are consistently reported across the business
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to increase the profile of the reporting team and understand new/ emerging reporting requirements
  • Provide consultancy support within the Reward and HR Services and wider HR team to support decisions through the provision of accurate People data and analysis
  • Use data analysis and insight to provide challenge / insight / provocation to the HR leadership team

Qualifications

This role requires a strong understanding of data management and storage as well as the knowledge to analyse data and identify trends / issues which need to be resolved. You will be comfortable with numerical and financial information and ideally have experience across HR metrics and measures. We are looking for someone who has a successful track record of building credible relationships with senior stakeholders and is comfortable delivering accurate MI to all audiences and levels. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is essential with the hunger to get involved in all thing’s strategy. Previous experience of using Resourcelink and business objects reporting suites is a must (RAC use Cognos).
